About Us

Jeewan Hospital, a complex of Nursing Home, General Hospital and Charitable Unit was started in the year 1951.  The Institution is spread on approximately 60,000 square feet area situated in the South of Delhi, well away from the pollution and noise of the Ring Road of Delhi.  The big good parking place and a well managed neat and clean canteen enhances the beauty of the hospital.

The Hospital has 116 beds and is well equipped with latest scientific equipments and operating instruments.  This is a multi-specialty Hospital having well established practice in Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, ENT and Dental Department.   There is a very good backing of fully equipped Operation Theatre, Labour Wards with good Ultrasound, X-Ray, Proper Anesthesia facilities by experts and experienced Anesthetists, a well planned Pathology Laboratory with latest computerized equipments. Physiotherapy Department with modern latest equipments.

  • The Casualty Department provides 24 hours emergency service for serious patients managed by expert, well trained Resident doctors under the supervision of senior Consultants. Ambulance service is also available round the clock in the Hospital.
  • A well planned ICU and ICCU with Central Cardiac Monitoring adds to the completeness of the Institute providing full satisfaction and care to the patients.

  • Most of the Senior Consultants are living in the campus giving full coverage and satisfaction to the patients. The Senior Consultants are helped by a large group of efficient qualified Senior and Junior Resident doctors.

  • The Hospital is also approved and registered with Ministry of Health and Delhi Administration. The photocopy of the same is enclosed.
  • Our Institution has been approved by the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi under Section 17(2)(II)(b) of Income Tax Act, 1961 by their official letter No.125/3/93-94/CC-Delhi/3409 dated 20.8.1993 for exemption of medical benefits from perquisite value in respect of medical treatment of prescribed disease of ailments. A photocopy of the same is enclosed.

The Hospital has 116 beds.  On the Nursing Home side, there are 13 private AC Single Deluxe Rooms with amenities like TV and fridge in each room. There are 12 Single good site non-AC rooms with attached bathrooms and balconies apart from 24 semi-private beds (2 bedded) and rest are cubicles.  There is a spacious OPD with Laboratory, X-Ray Department, Physiotherapy Department etc.  The ICU has 12 beds.  The Operation Theatre block has four separate theatres all air conditioned with cost modern equipment.  The adjoining Labour Ward has 6 beds fully equipped for conducting safe deliveries.  A very high stands of hygiene and aseptic conditions are maintained not only in the Operation Theatre and Labour Rooms but in the entire Hospital complex.

The General Hospital has its own OPD and Labour ward.  The Charitable Wing has a free OPD.  20 completely free beds (including fee, medicines, theatre charges etc.).

With the advancement of technology and update in medical sciences, new facilities, new equipment and surgical instruments are added each year. The Hospital is fitted with Central Oxygen Supply Unit.  There are three Electricity Generators sets- (100 KVR, 40 KVR, 15 KVR) and there are two deep tube wells in addition to normal electricity and water supply to ensure 24 hrs. 1921 – serving INDIA even before independence

Dr Bodh Raj after hearing the advice of his father started JEEWAN HOSPITAL in rented houses in the city of Jallapura Jattan (Now In Pakistan).

1947 – the most rememberable year for everyone

Dr Rajender Nath purchased the piece of barren agricultural land at the present site of Jeewan Hospital.

1951 – the name got fame

Shri H K Mehtb, Union Industry Minister inaugurated the Jeewan Hospital, the name Jeewan Hospital is quite appropriate i.e. Jeewan (life). For this very reason Dr Rajender Nath named the place Jeewan Nagar.

1988 – the year for expansion

New Building inaugurated by Honourable Defence Minister Shri K C Pant

During this period Jeewan Hospital expanded its reach in Multi-Speciality, rendering its healthcare services in various specialities & various section of society under the able guidance of Dr Divender Sabherwal & Jeewan Hospital added advanced facilities such as in house Pathology, Ultra-Sonology, Radiology & Diagnostic Services. Jeewan Hospital equipped with State of the Art Equipment with best Human Skills.

2009 – the year of advancement

Jeewan Hospital was further renovated, making the existing infrastructure AC & added up new services, keeping the interest of every section of society
